My views on pro wrestling today and some of the moronic fans that follow it

Ok. First off I know that some people will probably be upset at this blog. Secondly I know that I probably shouldnt be the one telling people how to do their jobs or telling people how to think but if people with less knowledge on a certain subject than me can talk then I have every right in the world to make this blog.

Right now I think the main two wrestling promotions (with the exception of the Smackdown Brand and i guess you could throw in ECW) arent worth a damn. TNA has probably the best in ring talent you could possibly put together however they don't want to use them they wasnt to bury and humiliate them so that former WWE guys can look good. As far as I'm concered TNA needs to get rid of Steiner and Nash those guys are no longer capable of putting on an entertaing wrestling match and are just wastes of money (In fact when was Kevin Nash ever able to put on a good wrestling match other than when he was in the ring with HBK or Bret). Sting is set to retire soon which is best and despite the fact that the man is clearly insane when he gets his head together Kurt Angle should be kept around as well as Booker T because they are the only ones left that can actually put on a good wrestling match. Kurt though shou8ldve lost the TNA world championship to Sting the weekend after his whole ordeal occured and not been rewarded. If his mental stability and suicidal thoughts were a concern then PUT HIM IN REHAB TNA THAT IS FUCKING STUPID WHAT YOU DID. Not to mention that Christopher Daniels recently god a DUI and if he is punished for something that didnt hurt anyone but Angle isnt im done with that lousy ass company that used to give me something to beleive in and want to see but has turned into utter garbage. AJ Styles needs to win the world titole by Lockdown 2010 because he is the absolute best your company has to offer.

WWE Monday Night RAw isnt much better. I have a night class on Monday's and Wednesdays so I have no means of seeing Monday Night raw uinless it is taped, after one week of taping it I decided I didnt want to waste anymore tape on it (i'm poor and cant afford tivo or dvr). we have these lame gues hosts (though i will admit million dollar man and dusty were good) we have the same fueds from 2 years ago Im suick of Orton, I'm sick of Cena and im sick of HHH. DX is bck when I thought WWE learned their lesson back in 2006 of DX not being the innovators they once were. Now you have a 44 year old born again Christian who is open about his bleiefs (you think I'm supposed to beleive he's a degenerate) and a 40 year old guy who's married to Stephanie McMahon which is very open (once again this guy has power in WWE do i really think he's a "rebel" In 1997 sure DX was amazing but now its LAME.

My Last rant is on stupid wrestling fans. I'm so sick and tired of hearing casual marks telling em whats good and what isnt good about wrestling with their lame ass logic. Apparentkly in the world of wrestling if you dont think that Vince mcamhon is the reason everyone is great and everything is great and that what he does is just so fuckin great youre an idiot. In my last blog I ranted about how Vince didnt use certain guys from the indies right and it caused them to fail. WWE marks will tell you its not because they werent given an opportunity they just sucked so bad they couldnt do well with what almight vince gave them. That logic there is the biggest bunch of bullshit ive ever heard in my life (and my boss makes me listen to Rush limbaugh at work so I hear a lot of bullshit). Then when wrestlers do well in other companies they still suck cause they "couldnt cut it in the big time" excuse me but i guess Kurt Warner is a terrible football player all around because he couldnt cut it in his late years with the Rams and the Guiants but could do well with the Cardinals. I guess Kerry Collins is a terrible player because he was a journeyman player that had a pretty damn good year last year with the titans but since it wasnt with one team it was terrible thats their logic.

Their logic is whatever Vince says you should do is what youre good at. So with that logic if another football team were to acquire Peyton Manning but instead of letting him play QB they made him a Right Offensive Guard and when Peyton wouldnt play right ioffensive guard well its not because the coach is an idiot and made a sure fire hall of fame quarterback play offensive guard...not its because peyton manning is an all around bad player. That's why Colt Cabana and Chris Harrise failed in WWE not because they were given roles that they couldnt make chicken salad out of chicken shit with but because they were just bad wrestlers all around and they couldnt make it in the "big time"

As one of these marks what makes WWE the big time anyway and they will say "its because they have the most money thats why theyre the best" If that logic hold true then McDonalds is the best restraunt ever not ifs ands or buts. They have the ebst all around everything at McDonalds food service and everything nothing can compare to McDonalds. Just because you have the most money doesnt mean you have the best product...sure there are somethnigs at MCDonalds that are pretty good but overall its not the best food in the world does that make me a bad person for wanting to eat Dairy Quuen, Arby's, taco Bell, Subway, or Grecian Steakhouse (which you will probably never eat at unless you pass through my hometown) and eat at one of those less money making places or alternatives more that aint the case with food so why does it apply to wrestling?

Thsi rant was done on the fly and it is not my best blog ive written or will write but its somehting that had to be said. Once again I may not have room to talk butn if a casual fan can say this shit to me this is thier receipt.

The Best Wrestler in the World Signs with WWE

As it was reported last night on www.rohwrestling.com Former ROH World Champion, FIP champion, ROH pure champion, and GHC Junior Heavweight champion "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson has signed with WWE. If anyone asks me who got me into ROH I'll reply CM Punk but if you were to ask me what made you love ROH what made ROH your favorite promotion for the last year and a half I will reply Bryan Danielson without question.

If any indy wrestler deserves the opportunity to shine in front of millions of people it is Danielson no questions asked. I should be happy, I should be pumped up about all the potential dream matches that are now a possibility now that he will be in WWE. Danielson vs. HBK (the guy who trained him), Danielson vs. Morrison, Danielson vs. Undertaker, Danielson vs. Rey Myseterio Danielson vs. Chris Jericho, Danielson vs. William Regal (another guy who trained him), hell for old times sake Danielson vs. Punk on a worldwide scale hell maybe even Steamboat could come out of retirement one more time to face the American Dragon. Thoughts like this should make me happy and give me a sense of anticipation like a child would in the weeks leading up to Christmas or his birthday.

I do not feel excited , however. I'm worried he hasn't even had his final match in ROH (which is September 26 in New York city at the Grand Ballroom in the Manhattan Center the former home of Monday Night Raw) and I'm worried for ROH's future and I'm worried about how Bryan will be used.

ROH is a smaller company and in this tough economic time they have had some hardships. Rumor has it on wrestling websites that since ROH's tv show will be airing before Monday Night Raw now on HDnet that WWE is doing a talent raid of ROH and this was their first signing. WWE could be raiding a promotion that isn't a threat to them and this is the same company which whines and cries every chance they get about WCW doing the same thing to them. Hypocritical bullshit like this is a reason why I'm not a very big fan of WWE anymore. Now I know many people have said that ROH will be ok because everyone thought the end of the world was coming when Punk left and Samoa Joe left, which it's true they recovered from those losses. Punk and Joe were the only top guys leaving during that time period if WWE takes 5 of ROH's top stars then it could very well put ROH into a huge hole, and without ROH being around the wrestling business as a whole will be hurt because it doesnt give young guys the chance to learn their craft or give veterans and released stars (like Petey Williams, Sonjay Dutt, and D-Lo Brown) who still have a ton of ability the chance to work and entertain.

The reason I'm worried for Bryan is that he doesn't fit the mold of a WWE superstar. He isn't 6'5...hell he aint even 6'0 he isn't loaded up on steroids like Batista. Vince McMahon doesn't see anything in Christian who is a fantastic wrestler and a fantastic entertainer so it worries me that he will not use a wonderful talent like Bryan Danielson. While CM Punk have achieved great success in WWE since his debut lets take a look at the track records of other wrestlers that WWE has signed who made their name in a different promotion in the post-Monday Night War era.

Chris Harris (Braden Walker)-Former NWA tag champ in TNA was a TNA original and if a falling-out did't occur he might've become TNA world champion. Never given a chance, waas on tv for three weeks then released after being in developmental for God-Knows how long

Colt Cabana (Scotty Goldman)- Former ROH tag team champ with CM Punk had many great matches in ROH was a really funny and charasmatic guy who could've gotten over with a WWE audience. Was given 7 matches on tv he jobbed in all of them and was never given an opportunity after being in OVW and FCW for longer than he probably should've been

Ace Steel- Trainer of Punk and Cabana good talent had some good mathces in ROH but his only claim to fame was playing Donal Trump in that incredibly fucking stupid Donald Trump vs. Rosie match. He spent most of his time in developmental where he was released

James Gibson (Jamie Noble)- I know he was in WCW and WWE prior to all this but during his time away he went to ROH and was used to his best potential he even won the ROH world championship there before he was defeated by Bryan Danielson. Now he is Jobber McJobberstien and never given the time of day to be good...let alone great. I'm not saying jamie Noble could be WWE world champion but he could be a great mid-carder and have great mathces but instead he only get's 8 seconds and casual fans and marks write him off like he is terrible.

I hold out for hope and I pray that Danielson will be used correctly and we will be able to see those dream matches I listed above. I would like nothing more than for Bryan to have a successful long career in WWE and win the world title and be part of Wrestlemania so the world can see how truly great he is and I can smile knowing I was a fan way before any of that success occured, with the track record like I listed above I cannot help but worry that one of my all time favorites and a guy who inspired me to pursue wrestling might just be molded into something marks can say is "weak" or that "he sucks". This can either make me follow WWE religiously like I did in the 90's and early 2000's or it can make me lose interest in wrestling as a whole.

I don't want to end my first blog on such a negative not but I do want to take this time to thank Bryan Danielson for all of his contributions to ROH and Indy wrestling and I as well as many others appreciated you putting your heart and soul into entertaining us. As i stated earlier if anyone deserves a spot it is him I just hope it doesn't ruin what made him great.
